K-CULTURE Festival, 2024 Dubai
Cultural Fusion Through Investment and Innovation
Introduction of a System where WEB3.0 AI Coexists with Human
The K-CULTURE Festival in Dubai, set to be held at the Arjaan by Rotana Hotel in Dubai Media City from April 12th to 13th, showcases the vibrancy of Korean culture in the heart of the Middle East, where the Hallyu wave is at its peak. This event marks the beginning of a diverse lineup of content, bringing together fashion-related startups, multinational corporations, investment opportunities, and semiconductor startups. It serves as a platform where Dubai’s giant investment enterprises converge with these entities, bridging the gap between virtual platforms and reality.
The festival will kick off on April 12th with a Fashion Day, featuring a spectacular show with collaborations between Korean designers and international models based in Dubai. The highlight of the day will be the K-Fashion Show, showcasing Korean traditional attire including Hanbok, with a total of 12 models, including 2 Korean models and 10 foreign models, gracing the stage. Additionally, the participation of renowned designers based in Dubai such as Walid Atallah and Nadine Ellithy will add further diversity and showcase the fashion essence of each country.
This year’s festival coordinator, ENZU Hong, brings professional expertise with a career rooted in Paris, France. Serving as the director of this fashion show, Enzu Hong is dedicated to merging Korean and Dubai fashion for a seamless integration of styles.
In addition, the festival will invite 50 VIPs with influential backgrounds in Dubai’s political, economic, and cultural spheres to participate in the event. Particularly on April 13th, investment consultations are scheduled to take place, providing an opportunity for discussions on investment opportunities.
Through this, fostering investment opportunities in the Hallyu entertainment and startup sectors will promote economic cooperation between Korea and Dubai. Companies like Aura100 DMCC will provide platforms for meetings between Dubai investors and Korean entities in various fields such as K-Culture content solutions, blockchain technology, and VR arts (semiconductor startup), facilitating potential collaborations.
Additionally, innovative applications of Chairman Kim Gun-ja’s ginseng fermentation technology in the bio industry will be introduced. Through this, the fusion of Korea’s technological prowess and Dubai’s economic resources is expected to pave the way for the creation of new business models.
Aura100 DMCC, the platform planner, is comprised of representatives who have been active in various fields in Korea. Among them is Jeon Tae-soo, CEO of a Korean media company who has been active in startups in Korea and Japan. Additionally, Amimura Sakigake, who has provided AI-related consulting to many companies including SoftBank and Sony in Japan, as well as investment consulting to overseas companies, is involved. Representatives from the Egyptian Embassy in Dubai and major Egyptian corporations are also participating.
This event, fitting for the AI era, will showcase a new trend in modern design through the integration of artificial intelligence and design. Through this, the organizers stated that it will be the first event to contribute to the establishment of a global design platform, where designers from around the world collaborate. They aim to create a system where people worldwide can collaborate with renowned designers in the future.
Through the collaboration between Korea and Dubai, this festival aims to establish a global ecosystem for cultural content. By merging the Hallyu wave with the Middle East, the festival seeks to lead the world with a WEB3.0 version that will be unveiled in early June, involving Korean startups, Middle Eastern capital, and Indian tech companies. The platform is designed to be inclusive, allowing startups, capital, and promotion to participate together. It is envisioned as a system where AI and humans coexist, with people from around the globe participating in utilizing AI.
